AGBU Council of Trustee Sinan Sinanian, along with Central Board members Lori Muncherian and Ani Manoukian held a community discussion at the AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Center in August. Local committee chairs, as well as the office staff, came together in the spirit of collaboration and communication. The AGBU AYA San Fernando Valley Chapter Scouts and the AGBU AYA Pasadena Glendale Chapter Scouts ended their scouting season with Kharouyg celebrations. Camp Amaras was back on campus this summer in-person, screen-free, and full of hands-on activities. From arts and crafts, to sports, cooking, singing, dancing and so much more- it was a memorable summer for our campers. The AGBU LA Choir celebrated their annual potluck at the AGBU Pasadena Center. The team comes together weekly to practice and plan for future events and they continue to uplift us with their voices. The latest Hye Geen TV program was hosted by Elizabeth Kabanyan and Sevan Boghos- Derbedrosian, with special guest, Mrs. Zarmine Naccashian from Adventist Health, Glendale. They had an informative conversation that helped educate the community on the topic of healthcare. Watch the full video here.

AGBU Young Professionals, LA hosted their Summer Soirée event on August 14. This was a great opportunity for guests to mingle for a good cause. Small business owners and individuals sponsored giveaways and made donations in support of the AGBU Humanitarian Relief Fund for Armenia and Artsakh. Sports are back in session with both the Pasadena-Glendale, and San Fernando Valley Chapters. Participation opportunities include volunteering on the sports committees, coaching, and playing your favorite sports. The AGBU Athletics department offers basketball, volleyball, soccer, and chess. The AGBU Musical Armenia Program was virtual this summer and as proactive as ever! Armenia's most prominent musicians and musicologists treated participants to engaging masterclasses and lectures about the country's rich traditions.
